Yabda National Conferences

On the occasion of the Call for “Innovative Projects” a series of competitions were organized in the local level. The competition began with a call for applications to students and administrative and technical staff as well as educational staff of partner universities to submit their entrepreneurial ideas. In the context of the competition, local final rounds were organized at the level of each university, and then a national final was organized at the level of each country. The local competitions took place mostly during month July of 2020.

In total 914 project ideas were submitted.

After the ranking of the candidates in each university at the local level, the Maghreb universities grouped themselves by country and organized a national competition for the 3 best candidates ranked in the local competitions. Candidates were asked to compete through a power point presentation and a 5-minute PITCH on the project.

The national ranking was made through a joint commission of experts (teachers and stakeholders). The mixed national Jury for the evaluation of innovative Yabda projects was selected from the local juries of each partner university/country.

The Algerian National Competition took place on 21 September 2021, the National Competition in Tunisia took place on July 14th, 2021. Finally, the Competition in Morocco took place on September 3rd, 2021. The competitions in Algeria and Tunisia were face-to-face events while the competition in Morocco happened through the google meet virtual platform.
